International Communication and Media

  Programme code:  ICM-sem2
Semester:   Spring, divided in 2 periods:
C (Feb/Apr) and D (Apr/June)
  Number of ECTS:  30
  Language of instruction:  English

Programme description

ICM`s academic offer to its exchange students is two-fold:

  • regular curriculum, all courses (see the overview below and the full description here)
  • program Media Psychology (as a whole or to combine with the courses from the regular curriculum)

Character: Unique at ICM is the freedom of choice in which our visiting students can compose their own appealing study package of 30 ECTS, from 185 ects that we offer to them in spring. Being allowed to attend any of the courses and study years within our entire BA program, they  become part of ICM by working together with our regular students. ICM students and lecturers come from all over the world. Except for its intercultural character, ICM is also known for its friendly, easy- going atmosphere with excellent student-lecturers relations.

Didactics: ICM` s focus is on practical competences, theoretical knowledge and (inter)cultural awareness. Our study program has been set up in such a way that lectures, group projects (with cases from professional practice) and self-study are combined. Students are also trained in reporting and in giving presentations. Final assessments take place at the end of the teaching period (C/D) by means of individual exams, group or individual assignments and/ or a combination of these.
