||Year 3/4, Minor
|Number of ECTS:
|Language of instruction:
Innovation is a top priority for organizations these days. However, finding innovators within the organization is a challenge. This minor aims to develop intrapreneurial leadership capabilities needed for leading lean innovation in large organizations.
You will tackle two challenges in an interdisciplinary team. Firstly, an innovation challenge at one of the minor’s partners. Secondly, you will research an organizational problem on the management of innovation at a partner.
The first challenge you will address using strategy design methods derived from design thinking and lean startup. The second challenge will be addressed using classic applied research methods.
You will develop business technical skills for rapid customer development, insight into the obstacles to lean innovation in existing organizations, skills to communicate change within the organization, skills to facilitate strategy design sessions, and lastly, gain insight into how you collaborate with others effectively in high pressure situations.
On learning days you will demonstrate your progress and insights to partners. By the end of the minor you will have made a real impact at the company through developing, or validating, a value proposition and simultaneously identifying organizational bottle necks to innovation.
NB: If your English language ability proves to be insufficient to participate actively in (parts of) the courses you have chosen, we cannot be bound to the Learning Agreement, neither can we guarantee to offer you the required amount of study load (EC’s). Teachers might request you to take a diagnostic test at the start of the course to check if your English language ability is sufficient to successfully participate in that specific course. In all cases it is up to the programme manager to decide if your English language ability is sufficient to be eligible for the programme/course.
