International Business

Factsheet

Do you want to become a problem solver and develop into a valuable colleague, a savvy businessperson and a truly global citizen? BBA International Business (IB) is our new three or four-year full-time undergraduate programme for the global business professionals of the future. This is your chance to fulfil your dreams and ambitions with a degree that will pave the way to a great career in the world business arena.

IB provides a strong foundation in all the skills you need in today’s global business arena: marketing and sales, finance and accounting, operations and supply chain management, organisation and people. Plus some distinctive features to give you an edge in your future career, such as a focus on sustainable business, building essential digital business skills and learning interdisciplinary thinking and working.

You can choose between the regular four-year programme and the more challenging three-year fast-track version. Our optional Advanced Business Communications (ABC) track gives you the opportunity to achieve business fluency in a second language (French, German, Spanish or Dutch).

Language of instruction

BBA International Business is taught entirely in English.

Work placements

The curriculum includes two mandatory work placements with companies, in years 2 and 4. One of these needs to be taken abroad. The second one inspires your graduation project.

What do our students think?

Samuel Haret (Romania), student IB fast track programme
“I was looking for a challenge in my study career, and therefore this programme was very appealing to me. Besides that you have to work harder, because it is a shorter programme, the professors also have higher expectations from you. It is taking up all my time but the experience is worth it!

Jonathan Muszynski, graduated
“Both the internship and the study abroad were an experience I would not have wanted to miss.”
I currently hold a fulltime position at the same company where I did my graduation internship. My internship abroad was a great experience and really added up to my personal development and my ability to think out-of-the-box. If you plan ahead and start studying on time, the programme can be done without problems.

Karin Avramova, fourth year student IB
“Within the IB programme, I chose to specialise in finance.”
IBMS is great because you gain both general and specialised knowledge and skills. From my Finance specialisation, I have developed the skills of financial planning and budgeting, investment analysis and risk management while acquiring knowledge about micro and macro economics, financial and managerial accounting as well as corporate and international finance. My passion is finance and therefore, the programme perfectly meets my interests and skills.

“I have encountered lots of experiences of all sorts both on a personal level, on a professional level and on an international level.”
Although I still do not know exactly where I want to work, I do know now in what working field I do not want to work. The internship in Kuala Lumpur has opened doors to continue my studies in South Korea. I am one step closer to finding my job.
